How long have you done CrossFit and what was your reason for joining?
I was introduced to CrossFit by Andrew about 3 years ago and joined CrossFit Power Valley a year ago. My initial reason for starting CrossFit was to lose weight. Since I was a young girl I've struggled with a negative body image and it continued into adulthood. I knew it was time to make a change for the benefit of my children, especially my daughter. I taught my children about kindness towards others but not kindness towards themselves. I want them to grow up loving their bodies for what it can do not what it looks like. CrossFit Power Valley has helped me shift my focus from my appearance to function.
What’s your favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite post workout food?
My favorite lift is the strict shoulder press and favorite post workout food is eggs, bacon & sweet potatoes.
What’s your least favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite cheat meal?
My least favorite lift (used to be my favorite before my ACL tear) is probably any type of squat. I really don't have a favorite cheat meal.
What is your next goal? i.e. doubles, pull ups, weight loss, body fat%, come more etc.
Pull ups! Continue to regain mobility in my knee (man it's been a long process). And most importantly more sleep!
