How long have you done CrossFit and what was your reason for joining?
I've been doing CF since late August 2013. I joined because of my main man Ryon; I saw how much he was enjoying it and was getting into much better shape so I thought it would be fun to workout with him. What really stood out to me was Ryon found a box in Bend to workout. After that I began thinking there must be something about CF. I made the jump and haven't looked back since. CFPV is our 2nd home filled with family and great friends.
My lift is now the snatch. I used to HATE it because I couldn't do it yet, it seemed so easy for some. I used to imagine doing this lift in my head over and over but it never felt right when I was actually doing it. The light bulb finally came on and instead of focusing on max weight, I lowered it and focused on my form Bingo! My favorite post workout foods are avocados, bananas and eggs.
My least favorite lift is the OHS. My confidence in holding the bar overhead and squatting is not here yet. Like the snatch! I know once I gain the confidence I'll like it more. My favorite cheat meal is- sushi with the family, spicy tuna roll My 2nd is the biggest, fattest, peanut butter, banana and jelly sandwich.
My next goal is to spend time focusing on double unders. I would also like to be able to do chest to bar pull ups and muscle ups some day. Overall- my long term goal is to stay strong, injury free and continue to have fun!
