How long have you done CrossFit and what was your reason for joining?
I have been doing CrossFit since May 2013. I joined CrossFit to get back into shape.
I started CrossFit in July 2013. I joined CrossFit because Shannon had been doing it and told me what a good workout it was. I'll admit I was somewhat skeptical at first and a little concerned about injury. However, I needed to find something to break the monotony of my existing exercise regimen and help me to lose some weight and get back into better shape.
What’s your favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite post workout food?
My favorite workout is the Power Clean. My favorite post workout meal is probably eggs.
I think my favorite lift is the back squat. My favorite post workout would have to be bacon although I don't eat it very often
What’s your least favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite cheat meal?
My least favorite workout is the Snatch. My favorite cheat meal is a Hasty Freeze hamburger and french fries.
My least favorite lift is the overhead squat (or maybe burpees); they both kinda suck. My favorite cheat meal would have to be pizza
What is your next goal? i.e. doubles, pull ups, weight loss, body fat%, come more etc.
My next goal is to conquer pull ups and to continuously challenge myself physically and be has healthy as possible.
My next goal is to squat 300 pounds but I also want to continue to increase upper body and core strength. Basically, I want to be as physically fit and healthy as possible without becoming completely obsessive about my diet.
Glen and Shannon became members when we very first opened in May and July respectively. From the start they have been extremely supportive and encouraging in our CrossFit community. Watching these two grow, get stronger and more confident in the moves has been a pleasure. You know they like CF when they go on vacation and search out boxes to try! Both Glen and Shannon are a pleasure to coach because they are eager to get more efficient, do things right and be safe with the movements. You need members like these two who are consistent, provide feedback, ideas and constantly rally around what we're doing at the gym. You guys are great! It has been awesome to see the progress you two have both made over the last year and I look forward to seeing where the next year takes you. Keep up the hard work!!!
