For me personally, my goal isn't to be a games athlete, or even a regional athlete. I wouldn't mind being on a team in the regionals but I don't like competing as an individual. I want to be a competitive, healthy athlete who helps others reach their goals. The Open has inspired me and reignited the flame and passion I have for teaching and helping others get those elusive kipping toe to bars, earn their bar muscle ups, master double unders and overall improve their performance.
With all this said we've switched gears on our Olympic Lifting class that we offer on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I'm calling the class Comp Readiness (don't be alarmed, you don't have to compete or even want to compete to join). This class started last night, we will have an opportunity to go into more detail and technique on certain moves that we don't have time to touch on during class. This will be structured class and the movements will change from class to class; there will be a WOD, maybe two depending on what we're working on. This is for everyone and I want to be clear that this will be hard, I'll be asking a lot out of you and we won't allow visitors to these classes. We'll be covering a lot in the hour we spend so come on time like every other class and be ready to take your performance to another level.
