1. How long have you been doing CrossFit and what was your reason for joining?
Marc: I have doing CrossFit for 6 months. My reason for joining was I saw how excited Erin always was about her workouts. It motivated me to try it out.
Erin: I have been doing CrossFit for about 1 year. My reason for joining was I needed to get in shape. I missed the energy and athleticism I had in high school and college. I was continually joining and leaving traditional gyms because I was bored and never knew what to do. I knew CrossFit would be different.
2. What’s your favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite post workout food?
Marc: I like to work on pull-ups, back squats, and core abdominal work. After a workout I enjoy having a nice cold beer as a reward.
Erin: My favorite workouts are any of the Hero WODs I’ve done. They remind me to be thankful for the sacrifices so many have made for us. I also really enjoy the different types of squats we do (feel the buuuuurn!). After a workout I enjoy a nice carb filled dinner…Paleo is not for this girl!
3. What’s your least favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and what is your favorite cheat meal?
Marc: My least favorite movement is overhead squats. My favorite cheat meal is a $5 hot and ready Little Caesar’s pizza (with bread sticks, naturally).
Erin: I really don’t like burpees these days. It may or may not have something to do with my ever-expanding baby bump! I think most of my meals are cheat meals lately (again, I blame it solely on the baby!). I’d have to say agree with Marc on the pizza!
4. What is your next goal?
Marc: My next goal is to come to class on a more regular basis. I try to make it three days a week, but it always seems like I am not able to meet that. I would like to make more time for CrossFit.
Erin: My next goal is to be able to CrossFit for the rest of my pregnancy and continue to come after our baby is born.
