Stacy is a certified bad ass! She has competed in 3 competitions in the last year here with us, she rocked the Open (was one of our top 5 women in every event) and is getting stronger every day. It's a pleasure to train an athlete who really wants to get stronger and improve on the more difficult Olympic lifts. Her gymnastics skills are coming along very well and when she gets her ring muscle ups, look out! Stacy is easy to coach because she listens, puts everything we show her into practice immediately and knows her limits (she pushes them every time she steps in the gym though). I'm excited to see where her hard work will get her over the next year. Keep getting after it!!!
How long have you done CrossFit and what was your reason for joining?
I started CrossFit in September of 2012 in Eugene, and moved to CFPV in September 2013. I decided to give CrossFit a try because I realized that I didn't have the strength and stamina that I did in high school and wanted to do whatever it took to get that back. I have always been an active/competitive person, and I knew it was time to get some of the intensity back.
What’s your favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite post workout food?
My favorite lift would have to be the snatch because it has been the hardest for me to grasp, and it is rewarding when I get it right. I also like any workout with pull-ups or box jumps. My favorite post-workout food is probably eggs and bacon, especially for dinner.
What’s your least favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite cheat meal?
I’m pretty bad at push-ups, and any workout over 20 mins is not my favorite. I like ALL the cheat meals ;)
What is your next goal? i.e. doubles, pull ups, weight loss, body fat%, come more etc.
One very broad goal I have is to have shorter rest during workouts, and to have better endurance. I would also like to increase my back/front/overhead squat 1 rep maxes, and get ring muscle ups by the end of 2014.
