How long have you done CrossFit and what was your reason for joining?
I've been doing CrossFit for over two years now. I joined because my wife, Rachel, thought we needed to do some kind of physical activity beside lifting bottles of alcohol to our lips. I didn't want to do it because I was stressed with grad school work at the time but I finally agreed (was forced) to try it out. Drank the cool aid and I've been hooked ever since.
What’s your favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite post workout food?
My favorite movements are things I'm good at like double unders and push press, maybe even burpees... I'm usually in a hurry after my workout so I'll eat whatever is quickest like a pea protein shake (unflavored, in water, like a boss) and some cereal.
What’s your least favorite workout (Movement/Lift/Benchmark etc.) and favorite cheat meal?
I really don't like deadlifts or running workouts but I'm improving in both so they are not as bad as they used to be. Also hate wall balls and thrusters... And found out recently clusters as well. My cheat meal is definitely potato chips, salt and vinegar. I could sit and eat a whole large bag and would eat another if it weren't for the chemical burn on my lips from all the malt vinegar.
What is your next goal? i.e. doubles, pull ups, weight loss, body fat%, come more etc.
My ultimate goal is to be able to do RX for all our WODs, but that might take a while. Currently, I'm working on butterfly pull-ups and strengthening my core. Oh and also to discover a way to do lots of pull-ups and /or TTBs without tearing up my mother f***ing hands.
